Accidental Injury Benefit Policy

The New Zealand Rugby Accidental Injury Benefit Policy provides a Benefit for the following if they result from an Injury while engaged in a Rugby Event (as defined in the Policy):

• Death;
• Permanent disablement;
• Permanent Paraplegia or Quadriplegia;
• Permanent loss of sight in one or both eyes;
• Permanent loss of use of one or two limbs; or
• Permanent loss of hearing in on or both ears.

If you need to make an application under the Accidental Injury Benefit Policy please complete an Application Form(PDF) or Application Form (Word) and send it to info@nzrugby.co.nz.

Once an application is received:

• we will review it to see if we need any further information to assess it;
• in conjunction with an independent medical expert, a determination will be made as to whether you are entitled to a benefit under the policy; and
• we will communicate the outcome of this determination with you, including information to assist you if you wish to have the determination reviewed.

Club Liability Insurance

The Club Liability Insurance programme is fully funded by New Zealand Rugby to provide all rugby clubs with a broad level of legal liability protection. The policy provides the following cover:

• General/Public Liability
• Employers Liability
• Statutory Liability
• Association Directors Liability
• Employment Disputes
