NZR puts support behind inclusion in rugby

New Zealand focused research has found that 78% of Kiwis have witnessed or experienced homophobia in sport.

NZR has a commitment to unify and inspire and be welcoming (Te Pou Maioha), and has identified the Rainbow community as one of four priority areas in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy.

17 May 2022 marks a significant event on the global calendar for rainbow communities with International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination.

NZR has taken the Pride Pledge as a visible commitment to safe, inclusive, and welcome environments for the rainbow community.
